An Illinois man who used a video game to lure an Illinois man to his home has been arrested.
John Lohr, 52, of Northbrook, was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly told the victim he was going to commit suicide.
The man’s wife called police after finding him at his home, where he was holding a gun.
The victim, who is now in the hospital, told police he heard noises coming from the garage, and that the doorbell rang twice before the man allegedly opened the door.
The victims mother called police, and the man’s sister arrived to help.
The victim told police that the suspect had a gun in his waistband, but he didn’t want to shoot the woman and so they let him go.
Lohr has been charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer and aggravated battery by force.
